Obama's Prolonged Detention Program
Apparently in keeping with the Tom Cruise flick Minority Report, President Obama has proposed a program to detain people without charge, without trial, without conviction, for unknown periods of time but perhaps for up to 10 years - before they have done anything wrong - um - but they might!
If this isn't Big Brother "in your face" we don't know what is. In one speech, Obama tries to convince us that he is concerned about the rule of law as he tries to convince us to support his new detention program which absolutely skirts the rule of law. And it dismisses the following: Habeus Corpus (also see U.S. Const, Art. I, Sec. 9, Cl. 2) and the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution. Yes, all in one proposed program that avoids the entirety of Congress and the judiciary! We smell a tyrant!
